Benjamin Mabey, M.S., has served as Recursion’s Chief Technology Officer since January 2020. He was previously the Vice President of Software Engineering and joined the company in March 2017. Mr. Mabey has a versatile background in computer science, machine learning, software engineering and data science with over 15 years of industry experience, having worked as a Machine Learning Engineer building automated machine learning systems and solutions in the ad tech, customer service, and healthcare industries.
Prior to joining Recursion, Mr. Mabey was a Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead at Savvysherpa, now part of UnitedHealth Group’s R&D function, from January 2014 to March 2017. He was also the Chief Technology Officer at Red Brain Labs, a Data Science consultancy to Fortune 500 companies, from April 2012 to January 2014.
